The Fruit Tree Project is in full swing again this summer. It has been in existence since 1998. The project links homeowners who are unable to harvest their fruit trees with community members who can use their fruit. The harvested fruit is shared between homeowners, fruit pickers, and various non-profit community organizations that distribute fruit to people with low or fixed incomes.

The project also hosts public food preservation workshops. The Fruit Tree Project works closely with Nelson Bear Aware and, while increasing local food security, helps to decrease human-bear conflict in Nelson.

Please check the downloads link on this page where you will be able to find Waiver and Fruit Tree Registration forms, and more.
